La Porte Physician Network Welcomes New Medical Oncologist

A new medical oncologist in La Porte is focused on providing compassionate care to patients while staying abreast of the latest available treatments.
Kalid Adab, M.D., oncologist, has devoted his medical career to learning all he can about the biology and treatment of cancer and blood disorders.
Ashley Dickinson, CEO of La Porte & Starke Hospitals shared, “Since coming to La Porte Hospital three years ago I have been asked about recruiting a quality oncologist to the city of La Porte. Individuals diagnosed with cancer often desire a second opinion or do not want to make frequent trips outside the area for appointments with an oncologist. With the addition of Dr. Adab, we can offer cancer care close to home for the residents of La Porte and Starke Counties and surrounding communities. I look forward to working with Dr. Adab to expand cancer care services in the new La Porte Hospital.”
After receiving his medical degree from Babel University in Babel, Iraq, Dr. Adab completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona and then completed a fellowship in hematology-oncology at the John H. Stroger Hospital in Chicago where he treated a variety of complex cancer patients. Dr. Adab is board certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. He treats all types of cancers, but takes a special interest immunotherapy, lung cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, head and neck cancers, and benign and malignant blood disorders.
Dr. Adab is accepting new patients at his office in the new La Porte Physician Network office at 401 NewPorte Boulevard in La Porte, which is part of the new NewPorte landing development.
