Current Visitor Guidance
Visiting hours have been suspended in all areas at the hospital with the following exceptions:
Patients in these areas may have one visitor at any given time:
- Emergency department
- Surgery/Procedural
- Labor & Delivery Unit
- Pediatric patients
- End of life
- Exceptions made be made on a case-by-case basis if necessary
Patients in other areas may not have visitors at this time.
Masks must be worn at all times in all facilities.
At Northwest Health - La Porte, visitors may enter through the main entrance until 6 p.m. or may enter through the emergency department entrance. All visitors will be asked screening questions upon entry.
In addition,
- No one with respiratory illness symptoms or fever is allowed to visit
- No one under the age of 18 is allowed to visit (identification may be requested).
- No one who has traveled internationally or been in contact with someone with a respiratory illness in the past 14 days is allowed to visit.
- Other visitor restrictions may be added as the situation evolves. Visitors are advised to talk with staff upon arrival.
Free Screening Phone Line
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing call our free screening line at 833-576-3627. Hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We want to do everything we can to decrease any stress or challenges during your visit.
