La Porte Physician Network opening services at NewPorte Landing

Today, La Porte Physician Network announced the opening of a new Urgent Care center and Primary Care physicians’ office location opening in La Porte next week. La Porte Physician Network is relocating its Urgent Care and Primary Care offices at Legacy Plaza West to 401 Newporte Boulevard in La Porte, part of the new NewPorte Landing development area. The Urgent Care will be open 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. seven days a week and offers prompt, quality care for common illnesses and minor injuries. No appointment is necessary. Patients can even reserve their place in line before leaving home by scheduling online at laportehealth.com.

The facility will also house four Primary Care providers who are relocating from Legacy Plaza West: Internal Medicine physician Dr. Syed Shan-ul-Islam, Family Medicine physician Dr. Teresa Sharma, and nurse practitioners Rebecca Ehrick, FNP, and Maureen Panares, DNP. Dr. Daniel DeGala, an Internal Medicine physician who is relocating to Northwest Indiana, will join the practice in October.
