La Porte Hospital Welcomes New Cardiologist

La Porte Hospital has announced the addition of Dr. Andleeb Bangash, a cardiologist, to La Porte Physician Network. Dr. Bangash’s office is located at 901 Lincolnway, Suite 302 in La Porte. She is accepting new patients.
Dr. Bangash says her interest in medicine began at a very young age. After her father experienced heart problems she developed a special interest in cardiology. She finds it very gratifying to help patients by improving their health and consequently the quality of life. Her favorite part of being a cardiologist is the daily interaction with her patients. “My patients tell me I’m very approachable and that it is easy for them to share their symptoms and concerns with me. I like to get to know each patient and customize a treatment plan that makes them fully understand the disease and its available treatment options to improve their condition and get them back to enjoying life fully.”
Bangash obtained her medical degree from Khyber Medical College. She completed a fellowship in Cardiology at Aurora Sinai and Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Centers, University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her education and experience is extensive including multiple fellowships in Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Advanced Heart Transplant/Heart Failure. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiology and holds a certification in CT Angiography. She cares for all types of cardiovascular disease including arrhythmia, heart failure, coronary artery disease, electrophysiology issues, and has a keen interest in women’s cardiac health.
